At Modern Press we aim to make the process as simple as possible, we have provided some Technical help below so files can be correctly supplied to us for efficient processing.

We can accept PC & Mac files in the following programmes: Quark Xpress, Pagemaker, Illustrator, Freehand, Photoshop, Corel Draw & Acrobat.

File Formats
EPS – please supply any relevant logos and embed or outline fonts.
TIFF – for line work a resolution of 1200 dpi and for colour pictures a resolution of 300 dpi is required.
JPEG – 300 dpi and saved as high quality.
PDF files accepted

Don’t use GIF files as the are compressed and lose colour and clarity.To allow us to check digital files please supply a colour proof or PDF proof.

Scanning
When scanning photographs ensure that the resolution is set to 300dpi and that they are 100% of the final size you require. Save them as EPS or TIFF.
